The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency has proven in her two decades of existence to be dedicated, innovative and strategically placed to build public trust, improved access to commerce, reduce crashes and instill discipline among road users in Ogun State.

The TRACE Commander General/ Chief Executive, Cdr. ‘Seni Ogunyemi said this in a Press Conference today, at the TRACE Headquarters, Former OGTV Complex, Ajebo Road, Abeokuta, while unveiling an upcoming 3 in 1 programme covering his retirement from active service, 20th anniversary of TRACE establishment and the 10th Annual TRACE Commanders’ Conference.

Cdr. Ogunyemi emphasised that the 20th anniversary of the Agency is not merely a celebration but a milestone that symbolises longevity, Institutional resilience and collective commitment of all stakeholders including the Agency, Road Users, Sister Agencies and most especially, the State Government.

The TRACE Commander elaborated that his stewardship in the Agency has better equipped TRACE in three major Resource Management areas including m Human Capital Development, Material/Equipment Resource Management as well as Information and Public Enlightenment Resource Management. All these, he said, has contributed in no small measure to reduction in road crashes and accidents on Ogun 18 major traffic corridors, in addition to improving the Agency’s response time to crash scenes.

Cdr. Ogunyemi further extended his appreciation to the State Government, Sister Agencies, Stakeholders and the TRACE Management Team for the journey so far.
“As I prepared to take a bow after clocking the retirement age of 60, I do so with a heart filled with appreciation for the journey we have all worked together in”.

On the 10th edition of the Annual TRACE Commanders’ Conference, Cdr. Ogunyemi posited that the Conference is so special to him as it marks a turning point, as well as a transition to a new leadership that will bring in fresh ideas to further build upon the solid foundation already laid by his leadership.

Cdr. Ogunyemi however advised the incoming leadership to see the task ahead as greater than an individual, warning that the vision of the Agency in all ramifications must be protected and sustained to achieve a shared legacy of service, growth and commitment to a safer Ogun State.

Some of the Invited Press men at the briefing commended the Agency and TRACE Commander General for his selfless service to humanity and good people of Ogun State, while questions relating to usage of modern technology in today’s traffic management and the Agency’s succession plan were professionally answered by the TRACE Commander General/CE.
