On Tuesday, 30th December 2025, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Ogun State, Mr Olusegun Olaotan presented dashboard cameras and breathalyzers under the auspices of the Road Safety Advisory Council, to support road traffic management and enhance enforcement operations within the state.
The equipment was provided to enhance evidence gathering and strengthen the prosecution of road traffic accident cases. The dashboard cameras are designed to capture live audio-visual recordings from both the front and rear views of operational vehicles, thereby ensuring accurate documentation of incidents, improving transparency, and supporting factual decision-making during investigations and court proceedings.
The breathalyzers will assist in detecting alcohol impairment among drivers, in line with existing road safety regulations.
